Double drum operation:

The STMV2 operates using a two-stage magnetic separation process to ensure optimal purity of the recovered product.

  • The vibrating feeder distributes the flow onto a first magnetic drum, which acts as an agitator drum.
  • The magnets generate a magnetic field that extracts the first portion of ferrous materials.
  • The residual flow is then processed by a second drum, capable of capturing the remaining ferrous contaminants, even those with low magnetizability.

This double drum system improves the overall efficiency of the magnetic separator and limits the presence of any ferromagnetic impurities in the final product. A single drum separator is also available.
