Double magnetic drum separator (STMV2)

What application was the STMV2 separator developed for?

It was specifically developed for recycling steel/aluminium chips from the machining of internal combustion engines. It is also suitable for the mechanical engineering and metallurgical industries, multi-material machining workshops and metal waste recycling centres.

How does the STMV2 double drum work?

A vibratory feeder distributes the flow onto a first drum, which acts as an agitator drum and extracts a first portion of the ferrous material. The residual flow then passes over a second drum, which captures the remaining ferrous contaminants, even weakly magnetic ones.

What are the technical specifications of the STMV2?

It comprises a high-strength welded steel frame, a double drum fitted with industrial magnets, a vibratory feeder and two separate discharge chutes. External adjustments allow the magnetic force to be adapted.

How is the STMV2 adjusted to the processed flow?

The feed throughput must be adjusted for optimum exposure to the magnetic field, and the deflection angles calibrated according to the ferrous contaminant content. Adjustments are external and are made without stopping production.

Is there a single drum version of the STMV2?

Yes, a single drum separator, the STM, is also available in the range. The double drum STMV2 is designed to achieve higher purity of the recovered product.

Eddy current separator (ED-X)

What is the ED-X eddy current separator used for?

It is designed to recover non-ferrous metals present in various material flows, in recycling and waste treatment. For example, it processes industrial waste and municipal solid waste, automotive shredder residue, WEEE and shredded materials.

How does an eddy current separator work?

A rotor fitted with permanent magnets rotates at variable speed inside a non-magnetic drum and creates an intense magnetic field. Conductive metals such as aluminium, copper or brass are subjected to eddy currents, then ejected from the flow and recovered separately.

Where should the ED-X be installed in a sorting line?

It is generally installed after a ferrous metal separation solution, such as an overband magnet or a magnetic drum. The main ferrous items must be removed upstream for efficient separation.

Which settings optimise separation with the ED-X?

The rotor speed and splitter position are adjustable according to the nature of the flow processed. The material must also be distributed evenly on the conveyor and an excessively thick layer avoided, as the particle size, density and conductivity of the particles influence the result.

What are the main characteristics of the ED-X?

It efficiently separates even small non-ferrous metals, is suitable for continuous high-throughput processing and consumes little energy thanks to energy recovery. It is designed for demanding industrial environments and integrates easily into automated lines.

Fixed permanent sorting magnet (APRF)

What is the APRF fixed permanent sorting magnet used for?

It separates ferromagnetic materials from a material flow and is generally installed above a conveyor. It is used in recycling, mining, food processing and the production of construction materials.

Does the APRF magnet need a power supply?

No, it requires no power supply and operates without any energy consumption. An electromagnet version (RD) is available for applications that require it.

What sizes and series are available for the APRF?

It is available in several series (20, 25, 30, 35), covering belt widths from 650 mm to 1 800 mm, with weights ranging from 220 kg to 2 369 kg.

How should the APRF magnet be cleaned and maintained?

It has no integrated self-cleaning system: regular cleaning is necessary to prevent saturation, as accumulated parts reduce its efficiency. Apart from this cleaning, it requires no maintenance, and personnel must be trained in safety procedures.

What mounting options are available for the APRF?

It can be mounted cross-belt or in-line at the conveyor discharge, at the point where the product flow is spread out as much as possible. The height should be adjusted according to the product throughput so that the magnetic field is properly in contact with the ferromagnetic objects.

The flow arrives by conveyor on the rotating drum and the permanent magnets attract the ferromagnetic items, which are carried along the magnetic arc. Beyond the magnetic influence zone, they drop off into a separate chute, while the non-magnetic materials follow their trajectory.

What magnetisation technologies are available on the TAP(N)?

Type A (Agitator) creates a tumbling effect using alternating magnetic fields to release trapped particles. Type CC (Crossed Fields) crosses the magnetic fluxes to handle heavy pieces with uniform cleaning. The magnets are ferrite, or neodymium for fine and weakly magnetic particles.

What options does the TAP(N) offer?

The options are a Métaline (2 mm) or rubber (6 mm) anti-abrasion lining, ATEX 22 Ex II 3D certification, a high-temperature version (above 120°C) and 3 mm stainless steel side guides.

How should the TAP(N) be positioned and maintained?

The drop height must be limited to 500 mm and the feed point placed no more than 100-150 mm from the surface. Maintenance consists of checking the surface condition of the drum, cleaning off magnetic build-up and inspecting the anti-abrasion linings.

Telescopic lifting beam with electromagnets

What is the telescopic lifting beam with electromagnets used for?

It is used to lift steel sheets, steel bars, prefabricated metal elements or other metal loads. It is used in the steel industry, construction, material handling and machine manufacturing.

How does it work?

It adjusts the length of its arms to the dimensions of the load and uses electromagnets to grip it. The arms are extended or retracted manually, by cylinder or by motor depending on the model.

How should the lifting beam be positioned on the load?

Place it above the load’s centre of gravity and adjust the arms to the load’s dimensions while maintaining balance. Use a smooth, controlled speed.

Which lifting equipment is it compatible with?

It is compatible with different types of cranes and overhead cranes. Its electronic control precisely activates and deactivates the electromagnets.

What maintenance is required?

Regularly inspect the electromagnets, arm mechanisms and electrical connections. Its design aims to minimise interventions and maintenance costs.

Vacuum lifting beam for pipes

What is the vacuum lifting beam for pipes used for?

It is used to load and unload pipes in the steel industry, ports, storage facilities and oil and gas pipeline construction sites. It can be fitted to forklift trucks.

How does this lifting beam work?

A vacuum pump driven by a hydraulic motor, connected to the forklift truck circuit, creates the vacuum. A control panel in the cab is used to monitor the vacuum level, grip and release the pipes, and select the suction pads.

Which pipes can it handle?

It lifts pipes 16 to 60 inches in diameter, 6.5 to 18 metres long and weighing up to 18 tonnes. Its suction pads adhere even to oxidized surfaces or surfaces covered with mill scale.

How is it installed on a truck?

The underside of the crossbeam is designed for quick attachment to a handling truck. Hydraulic and electrical quick couplings allow control from the cab.

What maintenance does it require?

Regularly check the condition of the suction pad seals to prevent air leaks and periodically check the vacuum pump oil level.

Vacuum lifting beam for port cranes

What is the vacuum lifting beam for port cranes used for?

It is used to load or unload pipes in ship holds, for professionals in ports and the steel industry. Its dual safety system combines vacuum and mechanical retention.

How does this vacuum lifting beam work?

Pumps and a vacuum reservoir create the vacuum required for lifting. Rotating mechanical arms at the ends prevent any slipping, and a PLC control distributes the loads, even asymmetric ones.

What loads and pipe dimensions can it lift?

It handles pipes up to 18 tonnes, 16 to 60 inches in diameter and 6.5 to 18 metres in length. Its modular suction pads adapt to several pipe sizes.

How is it installed?

Quick couplings allow easy connection to the hydraulic system and control panel.

What maintenance is required?

Periodically check the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components, and use suction pads suited to the pipe diameter. Personnel training is recommended for safe use.
